Stand Age Class to Size Class Crosswalk by Forest Type Group in Minnesota, USA
نویسندگان
چکیده
Many forestry models require the input of stand size class information, a variable with multiple definitions across forest inventories. This work describes crosswalk between age and for several type groups in Minnesota to facilitate consistency availability latter information. Refinements include ratio adjustments that redistribute number plots (or hectares) from one estimated another, based on known error rates. The results showed 61.9% all were correctly classified, 95.5% within class. Correct classifications individual type/size combinations ranged 16.7–79.2%. Applying validation dataset produced percent errors −46.4% 49.4%, but adjustment, dropped −20.1% 14.4%. These suggest provide coarse, yet reasonable, substitute using more complex classification methodologies, particularly when forecasting future conditions.

Class Size and Class Heterogeneity
Class Size and Class Heterogeneity We study how class size and composition affect the academic and labor market performances of college students, two crucial policy questions given the secular increase in college enrollment. We rely on the random assignment of students to teaching classes. Our results suggest that a one standard deviation increase in the class-size would result in a 0.1 standar...

conclusion a significant relationship exists between the type of facial skeletal classification and the shape of the sella turcica; as in class iii patients, sella turcica bridge was reported with a higher frequency. also, sella turcica had a significantly higher length in these patients than in those with class i and class ii facial skeletal types. results sella turcica had normal morphology i...

Having fewer children in a class is attractive to both parents and teachers. One recent national poll found that 70% of adults believe that reducing class size would result in big improvements in public schools.1 Fewer than 10% believed that it would make no improvement at all. A 1997 Education Week survey found that 83% of teachers and 60% of principals agree that class size in elementary scho...
